Rahil starts new school -- the Big Kids school (pre-Kindergarten through 12th) -- on Monday August 9th.
He narrowly missed the devastating flash floods that decimated Leh and other parts of Ladakh on August 5th (see http://www.pbase.com/csw62/rahil_in_ladakh_2010). We're still holding our breath for our friends and mourning those who were killed.
In the meantime, as of August 21st, Delhi has had one of the wettest Augusts on record, with one-third of the month yet to come and the forecast calling for nearly continuous showers.
On August 29th, Rahil went to the National Gallery of Modern Art to see the retrospective of Homia Vyarawalla, widely considered to be India's first professional female photographer. Imagine our thrill to find that Ms. Vyarawalla, now 97 years old, was present!
