Day Four in Switzerland, and time to shift to Lucerne. The train trip between the two cities was stunning, featuring more waterfalls than Rahil could count (i.e., more than eleventy-three). After checking in at the Flora Hotel, a mere half-block from the Kapellbrücke, a covered bridge built in 1333 and restored after a devastating 1993 fire, Rahil crossed the bridge and explored the old city a bit, winding up at the enchanting Glacier Gardens, home of a collection of wonderful mirrors, some great geology, a nifty museum, and the Lion of Lucerne, which, according to Mark Twain, was "the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world."
