I would like to communicate with a member of Earl Chesney's family. He knew my mother during WWII and I am currently writing her memoir.

Earle is my great uncle. Check wikipedia as a start to find out more about him. He served in both the army (1920s) and the navy (1940s-60s). Was a legislative assistant to Eisenhower. Fascinating man. Excellent cartoonist, too.

Sara, Just happened to look at our material at the DeWitt Historical Society, DeWitt NE and thought I would see if I could find more. Googled and your message came up. Earl Chesney was born in Lincoln NE, he worked in Washington D.C. at one time as usher at the White House. Graduated from George Washington Univ. Was a cartoonist. Will correspond if you see this message.

I recently found some artwork (Three 3x5 ft cartoon paintings framed) by Earl Chesney in my family cabin. What I have not found is much information on Earl Chesney. They are beautiful paintings. Do you have any suggestions on where I could get more information? Or information on if his work is of any value?
