Feeling strongly impressed that the Lord would have me devote the rest of my days to a Bible-teaching ministry, and feeling the need of further preparation, I moved my family to Princeton Seminary where I 'boned' hard on Hebrew, so that I might read the Old Testament in the original."

In 1922 highlights from the first six years of his cartoons for THE SUNDAY SCHOOL TIMES were reprinted as a book entitled, aptly, CHRISTIAN CARTOONS. This 96 page volume was published simultaneously by the Bible Institute Colportage Association (later Moody Press) in Chicago and by the Sunday School Times Co. in Philadelphia."
"E. J. Pace: Christian Cartoonist is now available from Calvary Comics! Six years in the making, this 250 page biography, written by Alec Stevens, contains hundreds of Dr. Pace's magnificent drawings and many rare photographs. During his temporal life (1879-1946) he was a United Brethren missionary to the Philippines, Director of the Missionary Course at the Moody Bible Institute, and editorial cartoonist for The Sunday School Times and numerous other Christian periodicals for four decades. His artwork was often used in support of his itinerant Bible teaching ministry throughout the world. A seminal Christian comics pioneer and a truly great man of God.
