My Bedroom Buddha (2)

...actually, this is a fountain with water gurgling all night from the Lotus flower held by the Buddha. It is about 10 inches tall and is a recent, wild-why-the-hell-not-acquisition. Since this was shot on a tripod, iso 100, I'm wondering why it is not as sharp as it could be.....hummmm

I have a hard time choosing between these two. While the other one does have a better mysterious quality to it, I am glad to see this one because I like seeing the entire piece and knowing more about it. I'm going to need to look at them both more to decide which one I prefer. Jim H.

I understand your point, CJ, and hesitated posting this...what the heck. I got some nice ones this morning from the San Fernando Mission (1797)....we'll see. Thanks for letting me know...Traveller (out of here)

Although I can see more of the fountain in this one Trav, I like the mystery of the other one as I couldn't see the size and it made me think it was a big statue! Nice low key image though! :-) CJ

Bingo, thank you so very much! Exactly so....Duhhhhh. You read about these things but you don't know or really understand until it happens to you. Thanks again. Best Wishes, Traveller

Very nice, Trav! I like this one the best of the two and I am not sure why. Maybe because the Buddha is just a bit lighter in this one and so easier to see. As for why it isn't a sharp as you think it should be, although it looks fine to me, if it were me it would be because I forgot to turn off the IS when I put it on the tripod. I do it all the time, I don't know why they can't just make IS that knows when it is on a tripod and just shuts itself off! ~Sharon
