I love the voice of the violin. My younger son studied it for 12 years and was a member of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra for 5 years. In the late 80s my mother bought five violins at an estate auction. I still have them all and this is the most interesting of them.

Do I play them? I have no sense of rhythm. I have trouble playing my iPod but do manage it pretty well.

Yes. This certainly qualifies as a low-key shot. I really love the warmth of the tones and the lighting, composition, and cropping are all wonderful. Jim H.

Elegant indeed! I really like how the lighting gives a 2-d form outlining the lower edge, yet it adds enough shadowing in the mid-subject to give a 3-dimensional form and texture to the wood. - angioman
