Ok, I understand. Jim

It's their relationship, Jim.

Thanks! ~Lydia

I like this picture. Great composition, framing, exposure and emotional impact. Don't really see "aged" though. Jim

Thanks, Carole! Nah... not really. Hubby likes for me to go to the barn with him and watch him work out the horses... so he knew he had to pose for me if I went. *grin* It was short anyway... I only got about five shots before another horse got between them and me. So, I didn't torture them long. *smile* ~Lydia

Very nice Lydia! Great framing - Did you have to bribe them to pose so nicely for you? :-) CJ

LOL! Yes, I thought so too, Fly. I had deleted my comment since I called you by your first name and couldn't remember if you used it online. I've since remembered that you do, but had a panic moment and got delete happy, apparently. *grin* ~Lydia

Thanks, Fly... I accidentally erased your message erasing mine... *sigh* I miss my brain.

It said, "well done. theFly."

LOL, Bob... I can't imagine that! ;) Around my house the saying goes, "If Mommy didn't photograph it, it didn't happen." *grin* So, I guess that would mean if I didn't have my camera, then he didn't have his horse. :)

Charlie, thanks. I see what you mean... I played with it a bit.. .but the black is not a border, it's the inside of the barn. So if I crop off just the top part to get the sky out, then it leaves it looking weird with the black around it all except the top. So, I think it has to stay. If I were really good, I could create some clouds there to give it interest, I think. ~Lydia

Love the mood and the tone this one sets. If I might offer a suggestion: I don't think it needs the sky. When I "crop" it (hold my hand over that part), the emphasis on the two "old friends" improves, IMHO.

This is really nice Lydia. I love the subtle tone and the contrasting silhouette.

I wonder if he has the same opinion of the photo gear? ...nah!... not possible? ;-)

Hope you are enjoying the break ~ Regards Bob

Thanks, Penny. I'm actually still on vacation... but just got internet to my computer. Hubby brought his horse along with us on vacation. I think that's really weird. *grin*

Thank you, Alan and dt. ~Lydia

Very nice indeed! Almost looks like it was taken in the "Old West" And perfect title!

I like the silhouette very much and the way the two are posed certainly evokes the friendship between them. Well done, Lydia. ~dtallakson
