I love the perspective and the detail in this great picture. It's such a shame the green netting was there to spoil (slightly) an otherwise perfect image.

Thanks all, but before a conspiracy theory gathers here :-) I will say that I came up with the topic before I even came across this image in my archives. I was hard pressed to find anything for header images and almost used this one for that purpose, but thought it would be too confusing unless people opened up the thumb.

You say you haven’t seen it before Lonnit, but I somehow think I used it in a challenge before. I know I posted a link to it as part of a gallery show I had downtown last year- my first. This image is actually special to me not just because I sold a couple of copies. I was initially excited to see when I delivered the first print of it I sold to a customer that it was going in a swanky penthouse in view of my office downtown. What I thought was even better was what another customer who picked up the framed copy after the show was over told me he was purchasing it for. What was basically my "vacation photo" was going to be a wedding gift for a couple who just got engaged standing in the very spot I captured the image. I got a lot of satisfaction out of hearing that. If anyone is interesting in seeing the image as part of the gallery it was displayed in; here is a link to it in my less than stellar Smugmug Gallery-http://photosmith.smugmug.com/gallery/2650327_29yXo#252191607

Incredibly wonderful, Brent. Well worth naming a Challenge over. *grin* I would have to if I could ever rise to take a photo this good. ~Lydia

Great detail and interesting crop. As Mary Anne said, very kaleidoscopic although sufficiently different in subtle detail on each side.

Good capture Brent, ~ Regards Melbob

Why have I never seen this view before? Nicely done. ~ Lonnit

I never would have guessed what this is, Brent. I'm especially impressed with the intricate details you've captured, giving a wonderful kaleidoscopic effect to the image.

I think Brent may have had this lined up as a winner when he set the topic. ;) Nice one!
