Transition comment was mine. Sorry I forgot to sign it.

Oops. I just looked again at the second comment, and saw that it was signed Ttttttttttt. When I first read it, my brain processed it as 'Traveller'. If it is Traveller, thanks again Traveller. If not, thanks Ttttttttttttttt.

Thanks Traveller and Bob (and anonymous commenter). I was originally intending to get all the image out of focus as shot, but such is the minimal depth of field with the 100mm macro wide open that the foreground wouldn't have had the clearly delineated shapes I wanted if the background had been out of focus too. So, I applied a selective lens blur filter on a mask to the top slice. I toyed with the idea of simply cropping the top bit out, but I decided to keep it in, as that was the only bit that actually looked like rain drops. I also used an action that increases saturation and contrast to bring out the foreground bokeh shapes more clearly.

Whoa...Nice Puppy this is! Of course I like this without the in focus top third...But Bob has a point, how did you do this? Best Wishes, Tttttttttttttttttt

Very interesting degree of OOF shapes you achieved here Alastair? I am intrigued as to why some are sharply 'clipped' as if they have been masked out?

Nice colours and great composition. ~ Regards Melbob
