New version uploaded. Thanks again for the comments regarding the sand. The change I ended up making is quite subtle. I finally realised the thing that was bugging me about the sand was it is almost identical in shape to the exposed seaweed and rocks at the top of the image (rotated through 180 degrees) but was a little larger and therefore unbalanced the image. I have cropped a small amount of sand to make it roughly the same size as the top and, for me at least, it puts the image nicely in balance. Regards -Najinsky
Thanks for the comments theFly, Lydia and CJ, especially regarding the sand. I tried a crop before posting but did't find one I liked so I stuck with the original composition. I realised the sand is distracting but it also adds some context and the image looks a little too 'by-the-numbers' without it. I will try some more later tonight. Perhaps combining the ideas of reducing the sand and making it monotone. Many thanks, -Najinsky
Nice shot and maybe just leaving the sand and converting this to B&W would make the brighter tan color less distracting to the strollers. Just a thought! Love the reflections! :-) CJ
