I wondered if anyone would mention the ' slightly over' berries. I actually did choose these because of that particular look, as I was trying my best to accentuate the slight variations in the light on them. Does that makes sense? Thanks so much for the comments, all are very much appreciated! Debbi

Lonnit, I had that thought at first, too. ANd I would agree if the piece was meant to advertise the food. On the other hand, the texture on the berries adds interest. For art's sake, I'd say this is just as good, if not better, than turgid berries would be. -- Victor

So wonderfully done! Truly excellent. My only nit would be that when shooting food, you must select the freshest, best looking subjects. Unfortunately, these berries are shriveled up. Your work here, though, is outstanding. :) ~ Lonnit

Nice work. Nice lighting and great detail. Might I ask, is that a ice cream scoop or a "mellon baller" those are sitting inside of, or some other cooking utensil I'm not familiar with (which would be nearly all of them since I don't do the cooking "around here") Markjay

I agree. This is just great. The lighting and exposure are fantastic. And the choice and arrangement of objects for the shot is wonderful. Subtle and simple on the surface, but complex when you really look at it. Jim H.
