Yes, it's a vegetable steamer. But it's actually lying on a piece of Epson Watercolor paper (still in it's plastic sleeve)--placed in a sunbeam. A coarse sharpening filter emphasized the reflection pattern (and the paper texture); and the color just comes from a hue change.

It's so nice and shiny I thought it was a jewel case. Doesn't look like a plastic wrap though.. more like a dyed woven fabric with a pattern.. table cloth.. the pattern could be extreme reflection from the metal object. -kiki2
