The image 962 is important in the context of the whole series because it is probably one of the very few that give you at least a faint idea of the enormous size of the glacier. My own experience as a tourist in the Calafate area convinces me that you’ll enjoy your trip to Antarctica, Paul (which is still quite a bit «further down», though, from where I was). There are many great glacier photos on your site. I especially love 985 and 962. I'm considering a trip to Antarctica next year; you've definitely inspired me to go.

What they say is true.. this is intensely delicate. I just went along to your gallery and voted like mad - full of enthusiasm - till I discovered I was logged in as clsr_challenge :P Mentioning this here just in case anyone tries the same stunt and wonders why "you have already voted for this picture".

It is difficult to fathom how high and how impressive a 230ft wall of ice must be! Three layers in your picture, each containing water in a different state... impressive work. Regards jnconradie
