How beautiful Julie, the motion blur really works for me... adds an air of mystery. What a pretty little lady, you captured her with a natural and very cute expression.

Thanks Judi and JN. This is my grand-daughter depicting Mary at her Kinder Christmas presentation. The clothing is blurred because I took the photograph in low light just as Mary was bringing her baby from under her dress. So this effect was a happy accident rather than a clever use of shutter speed.

Well then, I will add the "lovely" & "cute" comment! Julie, seriously, the soft colors of the materials framing the pretty face of the girl make for a really lovely portrait. Judi

More seriously, though, I think I have already remarked with some other shots in this Challenge that I am intrigrued and challenged (no pun intended) by how you and others use shutter speeds much more creatively than I typically do. I'll definitely have to try this type of approach more often. Regards jnconradie
