Very effective Mary Anne, I too usually concentrate on the technical 'accuracy' of the shot and sometimes one needs to be more creative like you have been with this capture. Well done ~ Regards Melbob

Thank you, Paul. It was hand held. As long as I'm not looking for really sharp focus, I've found I can hand hold down to about 1/5 second.

Very nicely captured. Did you do this handheld or with a tripod?

I'm glad it has inspired you, Nico. Like you, I'm trying to break away from always working so hard at sharp focus and stop-action shots. When I'm in the middle of shooting, however, I usually forget to try for motion blur.

Creativity at more than one level! Well done, Mary Anne. Seeing something like this inspires me to also play around a bit more with shutter speeds and so on to create this feeling of being alive / activity / movement. I do too little of this! Thanks for posting. jnconradie
