Buddy, Pal & Wiley; ya gotta love 'em (at least I do). Aussie Shepherd, Plain Brown Dog & Border Collie. From the RAW, used PP on this one, homogenized background slate, moved Wiley to be more in line with the other two, levels, crop, contrast, etc.
Must Love Dogs - Starring Diane Lane, John Cusack (2005)
Kiki - Yes, I kind of misunderstood the theme rules and rushed to shoot the first one in .JPG. This one I took my time, waited for the right light and processed it the way I like. They are adoring, adorable and adored. I guess you can tell. They're all "rescued" from homes where they weren't appreciated. Wiley, had three "city" families before we got him when he was two years old.
Bob - Yup, the BC is the best dog ever (for all the same reasons they can be the worst, too). He's getting kind of into his older years, but just like me, he's still got a few kicks left ":^D. Funny, about the Aussie, which you probably already knew, they aren't Aussie at all, ha! Strictly an American "invention". When we got him he was 16 months old. It took 6 months for him to stop flinching when I reached to pet him.
Nico - Haha, they are the BEST trained photo models!! I feed them once a day and each time before they get to eat they must lie and wait for my command to go eat. I must admit I was holding a treat (of course, they knew that) and they were on command to "lie down".
I meant to say it was an *adorable* trio, but they do seem to like the photographer :) There's something Rockwell'ish about this shot.. colors as well as poses and expression. I like it more and more.
I agree... greatly improved over the first version and simply too adorable for words. I am sure this must have taken incredible patience? Or are they trained photo models? :-) Kind regards ~jnconradie
Yep sure do! Love the expressions and these are all great dogs, Border Collies in particular, are way up there in my favourites basket.
Great comp Mikey. ~ Regards Melbob
