Stunning! Lovely colours, composition and use of light. I would be very happy to have such a shot in my own portfolio. ~jnconradie

Thanks Dorys and Cat. Apparently you haven't looked around yet. There are some breath-taking photos submitted already.

But hey, thanks [aam1234]

Mary Anne, I'm no expert in PP, but from my experience one needs to apply USM/ Sharpening every time a photo is resized. Hope that answers your question, if not, please let me/us know.

Aam, thanks for that link. I just used it on the shot I submitted to the Exhibition gallery. Amazingly, it cleaned up a lot of the noise but reduced the file size by about 75%. With that type of a landscape shot, it's not much of an issue, but I'm curious about how it works with an image where you want to keep sharpness in the details.

That's a big compliment, Mr.T. Thank you very much.

As for noise, have you tried "Noiseware Community Edition" it's free, but has a 400k pic size limit, which is fine for the purpose here in CSLR. If interested, here is where you can D/Load it:

Ahhh my punishment for shooting jpeg...lol. But seriously, I shoot jpeg because I travel very, very light. But as to your image...I think the best compliment I can pay it is that it is...Very Zen-like, with an emotional appeal drawn from its very and perfect simplicity. Best Wishes, Traveller

Thank you very very much Mr.T, and glad you liked it.

As for noise, if you shoot Raw, I find N/R in DPP to be very good. Give it a try

This is very, very good. I was working on something to be First, but it completely broke down in to very noisy cr*p. Kudos for a great start to the galleries. Best Wishes, Traveller

Thanks Jim. I knew you had something like this in mind when you said "simplicity" [aam1234]

I love it. The nice colors against the white background really emphasizes the main subject area. I think this is a great example of just what we're talking about in this challenge! Jim H.
