This image is the better of the two. More dramatic in both angle of view and lighting. VOTED. I do agree with Chris however that the dagger-like protrusion should be brushed out or toned down. Once you see it, it's hard to ignore. You don't want to take away from the focal point.

In the lower right the light looks a little unnatural to me and it distracts from the image, otherwise nicely done.
