Thank you Lee, Cheryl, Nico, Phil and Abs for the comments and critque!!! Nico, I think Abs has already answered your question partly by doing a great analysis of how I did the lighting. Hope that helped. If you are wondering about the actual light, it was a high power daylight balanced tungsten light bulb. Abs, A great analysis, you almost created a mathematical model out of this. I did not do any elaborated calculations as you are thinking, it was more of a visual thing, based on what I saw incamera and adjusted the light distance and angle accordingly to get the effect. Phil, Thank you for finding the "obvious" in this photo. No apologies necessary. The elliptical light/shadow with the neckless forming an ellipse of appox similar curve...did you roughly set-up two points (foci) and two radius on the background/wall? impressively intelligent. -Abstract
