Thanks, Iso. It makes me wonder if they were doing this inside me too! LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit

Pfehlauer,
Yes, these are my twin sons. Thank you. I do have to do more twinshots. These comments are great encouragement. :) ~ Lonnit

Shu,
Interesting, the things you chose to comment on. I specifically directed him to place his hand under his face. He'd been trying different placements but when I saw it go near there I knew it was perfect and had him scootch it under a bit. I wanted a calmer image, so I chose one with eyes closed; it seemed to work so much better. The hands on the feet were another important part to me for similarity and continuity. It is always so incredibly validating when someone makes specific mention of something that I paid direct attention to. Thank you for noticing and commenting. :)

Cheryl,
Thank you. This was one of those rare instances where I had some smidgeon of creativity. I find that I am so utterly uncreative when it comes to photography. Oh, tell me I can't do something else and I'll give you twenty different work-arounds to prove you wrong, but artistic creativity, I think I forgot to stand in line to get mine that day. LOL!

I keep thinking about this and wondered what makes it so exceptional. One can "pose" the models and make a rather "staged" image, but these have winning gestures such as the hand under the head, closed eyes and the bottom boy's relaxed gentle hand on his brother's foot. All of these subtle elements give the image visual appeal that's hard to beat! shu

Another talented idea. Works well for the square and just plain for the picture.
Some of you amaze me with your art ideas :)

Thanks, Jim & Ann. :)

Wow, Nico, thanks! Well, as for my models, Pip is fantastic to work with, very co-operative, and really enjoys modeling for me... IF he's working alone with me. They were both pretty darn cooperative for this shot, even though they complained a bit. They started getting a bit revved up after this pose, which was the first set. This was the all-important planned one. The rest were ideas that popped up after this was done. You've just got to get what you can get, while you can get it, then quit as soon as they're losing it. After this shoot though, I realized why I have very few images of my kids together - they're all one-atta-time shots! LOL! I really should take advantage of the twin situation though, particularly for my stock work, and get them together in photos more often. Now that I'm aware of it, I will be more diligent about taking pix with multiple people in them.

Michael, what you said really means a lot to me. I really was feeling like I was losing it b/c I'd not been shooting to a goal. For several challenges it's just been a throw-in-whatever-you've-got-that-happens-to-fit-the-theme situation. Last challenge I ran outside 90 minutes before the challenge ended, with nothing in mind, just hoping to find something that fit. That's the closest I've gotten to actually intentionally participating in a challenge in a long time. :( Shooting this felt sooooo good. I felt like I was working - but I mean working in a good way, not toiling, but striving towards a goal, doing something I love, which I haven't gotten to experience in a while. There was so much going on here I just had no time. Now that I've done this I feel so much better. It was self-validation that I can produce something half-decent if I actually try. I really was feeling like I was losing it. Your comments were a huge boost and there was nothing insulting about them. If I had gotten upset about that, it just would have meant I was in denial. ;) I really appreciate you're taking the time to comment and speak your mind. Thanks! {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

Wow, Lonnit, that is simply fantastic. The background was well chosen, the models played their part like true professionals, the photographer was in top form and the post-processing and crop fits 100%. Compliments. [ Now if you'd care to share some tips on how you manage to get your two boys to cooperate so nicely, I'd be most grateful :-) ] Regards ~jnconradie

This is vintage Lonnit. This is just plain good. I haven't seen something quite this good from you in eligible for a couple of challenges. I don't intend for that to sound derogatory, but clearly your work is brilliant when totally focused on the task at hand. It's a wonderful piece both technically and in its artistry, congrats. -Michael

Thanks Shu-Fly! LOL! It was fun to finally shoot for a challenge. I've not had that opportunity in a while and have just been submitting things I happen to get that fit the challenge during the period. Shooting today, with the intention of submitting it was a nice change of pace. ~ Lonnit

This is the most creative of the three! Your velour throw is great as background for the boy's superb pose! Wonderful shot, Lonnit! shu

It is definitely good stuff. Nice skills in adding the two images of your kid. I couldn't find any flaws in the seams!

Wow - getting mistaken for an Iso is indeed high-complement territory! Thank you. :) I'm glad you like the conversion. I worked several different methods together.

As for the background, I just fell in love with it during this shoot. It's actaully the red velour blanket from my red bedroom. I spread it out on the floor and it was wonderful to work with. I quickly brushed my hands across it to make swirls like an expensive, custom painted backdrop!

Shooting was a bit of a challenge, not being able to look thru the viewfinder b/c I needed to have the camera at a 90 degree angle to them, which meant holding it out straight in front. So, my street photography practice paid off! LOL!

Thanks for commenting. :) ~ Lonnit

This is Nice, Lonnit....I thought that it was an iso image, which is a pretty high compliment! Great conversion and background choice. Best Wishes, Traveller
