Thanks for the comments, everyone. Be assured it was a real martini, made with Stoli Orange, "very dry" (I left the Vermouth in the cabinet - that was close enough).
I set it on the coffee table in front of my wife. But I wouldn't let her have it until I had taken a dozen or so photos from various heights and angles. The glass had been stored in the freezer, and the weather was warm. So I only had a short time to capture the cloudy, slushy effect I was looking for. I cropped it to not only achieve the square shape, but also to show just the top of liquid level (not the rim of the glass). The colors looked better that way. Regards, Charlie.
