Hi, Traveller. I always invite comments on my posts and accept them all as constructive criticism. I included the background story on this as I felt it is an integral part of the photograph. As for the colour of the grass, it looks good on my monitor. At the time this was taken, it was late in the day and overcast. This has possibly affected the overall colour but I feel it accurately shows what it was like at the time. The only PP I did on this was a little USM. Your comments are always appreciated.

Dear Harvey, don't take this wrong...but every time I scroll the thumbnails, I stop to see this image. I don't think you need the back story for this to be effective. I will say that the green seems a little off to me....but this is maybe what makes it effective...the greens seem a little un-real and redish on my monitor, but just a tad...but this may be what you wanted. Just a comment, Sir. Best Wishes, traveller

Thanks, Jim. I appreciate your kind words.

It's always sad when a master loses a pet or when a pet loses a master. It's all part of the cycle and something we have to learn to deal with.

That IS sad. Now I'm hoping that the dog will find another loving master. This makes me want to go over and pet him. But I know he'd just keep looking through the fence.

Oh, and I love the composition on this one too. This is very sad and touching. Jim H.

Thank you, Michael and Nico.

Imagine how I felt when I looked over and saw the dog, knowing why he was there.

Nicely seen and captured, Harvey. And the caption stirred similar "sad" emotions on my side. ~jnconradie

Nice composition, Harvey, and the colors are rich. Love the title, but your caption is disturbing with "owner is now gone and won't be back"...that's very sad. At first glance, I was kinda hoping the owner was just out of frame. -Michael
