LeadingFacades*

Florence, Italy

Piazza de la Signoria

I know there are—unwanted, of course—reflections,
but this was shot through a window of the Uffizi museum
that one could not open. I, for myself, like the image anyway...

Many thanks, Traveller, for the tip. I do not yet have any experience with the healing brush. As I’m leaving on a trip for the rest of the week, I’ll check it out after coming back home... Thanks, anyway, for helping me to improve my knowledge! — db.

db to fix this use the healing tool to make your clouds even. It is too nice a picture to leave like this. Play with different settings and just move some darker clouds into the reflection area. Best Wishes, Traveller

Olaf.dk: I’ve known that, meanwhile, but it wouldn’t have helped much with those double-windows having the sheets of glass some five to ten inches apart... Anyway, thanks for the hint and for sharing your know-how! — db.

A way to avoid the reflections in situations like this: press the lens all the way up against the glass, letting the lens-shade shield out the reflections. If you need the lens at an angle compared to the glass, cover up the gapping end with something like a hand or an arm. Anyway, nice point of view!
