Aaahhh.... Cats are the BEST! :D -Arn

You just don't know how to pet her :) I've got some experience with tempermental cats here. We've got one that I can hold upside down and carry around, but she's a total psycho-bi^@# to most folks. The great thing about her is that she is so difficult for people to read. There's a fine line between contentment and ripping of flesh. She also makes the most amazing blood-curdling sound effects. It's hard to resist messing with her just to hear the sounds she makes.

Anyhow, I love this shot. It's a wonderful capture of some serious kitty attitude! Jim H.

LOL! Why am I just not shocked? I know mouse-rage when I see it! ~ Lonnit

Arn, the cat is grey. And she's a right old b*tch too. This is a regular look for her.
Nico, there was absolutely no way to get more DOF field here....I absolutely pushed it to the limit, not only the camera but my skills as well. It was handheld, one handed as I had a broken left arm at the time.
Lonnit, as much as I love cats, I do not like this one. However, she keeps us mouse-free......she usually rips their heads off and leaves them on the driveway for my husband to find. She loves him and regularly brings him gifts of headless mice.

I certainly wouldn't want to be a mouse staring up at that puss! LOL! Great shot, wonderful catitude, purrrfect timing. ~ Lonnit

Wonderfully expressive cat picture, Gayle. And it is clear that you were already pushing the limits (probably due to poor light?) with high ISO, slow shutter and wide open lens. My personal preference would have been for slightly more DOF, but in view of the above, I am sure you did all that was possible with a not too cooperative model. :-) Regards. ~jnconradie

:D This is just great! The expression and the look of course, but the b&w works very well too. What color is the cat really? I might guess black or grey? -Arn
