Wow, I like this effect! Sorry to hear it's not the same any more. I know that sinking feeling when you go back and things are either changed or gone forever. It has happened quite a few times so I think we should consider ourselves very fortunate to have had the opportunity to "stop time"...and being at the right place and the right time.

Thanks for the nice comments, y'all. I loved the image of these arches but they don't exist in this form any longer. They were filled in with smoked glass which obliterates the see-thru effect completely, ha! I liked this shot so much I went back a week after I took it to take some more (other angles, etc.) and I was shocked to find it "gone"; now a bank alcove and an art gallery. Oh well, I guess that's something that photos just DO, is stop time. -mikey
