Thanks much for the nice comment Shu. With closer inspection I realized this was just a postcard Victor. But at first glance in the setting it was in it looked like a Polaroid of a crime scene that had been accidentally left behind. That initial ominous feeling I had with the first glance never left me fully.

Why do you think this is a morgue photo? -- Victor

This image is more than just B&W, it really gets one thinking. Wonderful creativity, Brent and that's what these challenges are about. Sturring emotion in the viewer is something we all strive for! shu

Great find - a stunningly sad photo.

Don't sweat it Jano. I deleted some other images myself and had assumed I had accidentally pulled this one too. No harm done- all this stuff is just for fun anyway :-)

I think I fixed this. But I may have been too late :) I'd prefer to keep this as it is up here so that the comments can remain. But I'll let Brent decide if he wants to leave it here or not :) Great image, by the way, and a great story behind it too! Jim H.

Thanks Traveller, Cindy, and to Victor as well for figuring out the shadow. While I was walking my dog, I came across this postcard someone must have accidentally dropped on the sidewalk. The sun was rather low in the horizon and the postcard was curled slightly more on the left side creating this peculiar shadow. I quickly shot a couple of images of it as found, and then got the heck out of there because I thought it was some kind of morgue photo at first glance and it really gave me the creeps.

Very captivating image - immediately draws you in. The shadow might be more effective if the image were tilted slightly so the shadow and the image were not quite so squared to each other. Cindy

Traveller, It looks to me like the shadow of the picture. Look at all the other shadows in the picture for comparison. -- Victor

Very Nice, Brent...but what is the black patch above the baby's picture? Like the backing off a poloroid? Just curious. Best Wishes, Traveller
