Yup, a fantastic feline in repose. B&W was a perfect choice, IMHO, and your conversion elegant. -Michael

Absolutely purrfect, Lee! Love it! :) BF

Fantastic! Super mood. You might consider cropping some bottom off b/c it's cutting the pic in half and this would lower the horizontal to the bottom thirds line, but rule breaking here isn't such a problem b/c it does support the calmness and serenity of the mood. I'd be happy with it either way. Excellent job. You really do a fine job with cats. Not the boring, typical, run-of-the-mill stuff. Good eye, nice processing. ~ Lonnit

Traveller, I've had quite a bit of success using Channel Mixer for my black and white conversions. Just select monochrome, and *start* with 100% green, and 0% red and blue. Then shift to suit your tastes/the photo, throwing in a small constant adjustment if needed.

Thanks Traveler,
Here are the basics, but it has been a while and not sure of everything I did.
use your fav method to convert to BW.
dup layer - add blur and set to multiply blending mode
dup layer - screen mode
dup layer invert and screen mode
flatten as you go.

Truly excelent, Lee, and a wonderful B&W conversion. Would you mind describing a little how you accomplish this? I'm still only doing de-sat and adding a little contrast as required.
Thanks, Traveller
