way cool! Cirlces arranged into a sphere. Great move adding the soil. Great job with the lighting, composition and all.

Thank you very much for the feedback. No special photoshopping involved. It is a small wooden table decoration. The red soil was spread out on a tray in the kitchen - with my wife's gracious consent :-) I posted a quick "how the picture was made" with a tennis ball added for scale. ~jnconradie

Very well done! Is that a PS technique that created the wooden ball? I would recognise the colour of that soil anywhere.

This is a curiosity! It must be a toy since it is clearly not an animal and it isn't a live plant any more. Or a garden decoration. I can't tell how big it is. I like the colors in this and the image is nice and sharp. ~Sharon
