Thanks Sharon! Many of the matrioshkas sold in Russia are crudely painted as cheap souvenirs for the tourist trade and only have 3-4 dolls instead of the 9 shown here, but you can tell these were done by an artist. The paintings on the front of this set of dolls represent Russian fairy tales. It's hard to resist these and the beautiful lacquer boxes they make! :-) CJ
These are beautiful and I like how you shot them all in a row. They look like they are receding into the distance with the DOF. Very colorful and very nice!
