I love the A Perfect Circle version of this song.. -Tiffany

Imagine

by John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today, ah-ha

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You, may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You, you may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Clever! I really like the shadow play and composition. (*)minor though, if the area around the shadow of the torso was as clean as the top of the image.

a nice attention grabbing image. i personally like the 3 bottom lines without much contrast because it helps lead the viewers eye up to the subject. - atothev

Oh yes, the Perfect Circle version is fantastic. I like what you've done here. The lines widening through the photo are a neat graphic contrast to the silhouette.

I had made this more contrasted, but I decided that I like more midtones. and I may try to strengthen the lower 3 lines later, but for now I don't have much time. Thanks for the input. I appreciate it.

By the way, for other interpretations of 'imagine' you may want to take a look at cslr-challenge 29, hosted by yours truly...

Tiffany, I think I prefer the one you've linked to, but I would bring the midtones up to highlights. If you have 'curves' in your photo-editing software a point at Input/Output 52/127 (RGB-curve) will give you an idea of what I am suggesting. I would then do something about the three lower shadow-lines from the wall siding (either remove entirely or strengthen to resemble the other shadow-lines) and clean up a a bit around the lower half of the body-figure (remove foliage? shadow). Just my opinion, ymmv.

hmm, what do you all think of this image:http://www.pbase.com/upupcanadian/image/54881366 ?

I'm thinking I might use that instead.

yes, the sun was a little weak. I tried to sharpen it up in PS, and all I got were nasty halos. But I've actually grown to like the slight blur to it. : )

Nice, strong, graphic quality to this. Leaves me wishing for a sharper shadow. Was the sun week?
