Michael, I loved your story. Hey, if something works, stick with it! Sounds like pretty cool grandparents to me! :)

Thanks, Markjay. I am certain that, when the room is finished, it will appear repeatedly in future challenges, as did my newly redecorated dining room. LOL!

Grant - I took a few different angles but this one looked best. I think it was also the one that really showed off the speckles.

Jimhwy - Yes, that magical speckling was such a nice treat to find there. I also love that part of the image. To me it seems like Chinese fairy dust! Thanks. :) ~ Lonnit

Yeah, well, there's no doubt it's on topic with awesome color :-) I do like the rigidly geometric structure of the roller juxtaposed with the free form iridescent relections in the roller pan.

On a personal note, my grandparents had one wall in their living room which was brilliant red. An art deco sculpture, in pure white, hung on that wall. As many times as the room was redone over 35 years that I can remember, the red wall and sculpture never changed. I never tired of looking at that wall through childhood, adolescence, and adulthood...I think you're in for a real treat with your color choice. -Michael

Excellent! This is very creative shot and nicely seen. You'll ofcourse have to show us what the room looks like done :-) Markjay

This is nice, though I would have opted for a more orthographic angle but that is just my personal preference.

One of the things I love about this shot is the almost iridescent look of the reflections in the paint tray where the paint isn't covering the metal in the lower right corner. Neat composition.

LMAO!!!!! That's so funny because the room was white but we're painting it red! It's the master bedroom. This is actually the primer. The real color is a tad less 'fire engine' but still, undoubtedly, red. :) ~ Lonnit

Hmmmm....I talked my daughter out of painting her room this colour, we decided on white insted and made up the red with accessories. You can get some really funky accessories in fire-engine red!
Is the room finished, and what colour was it before?

Its an interesting choice of colour for a bedroom.
