Lonnit, remind me not to ask you for a clarifiction of the "rules"? :-)
Sergio, these volumes look well used and I like the image.

Love the shot, but not too sure about ontopicness. This shot is certainly about color, but the story it tells me is all about a red book. Although it's mostly yellow, the dominant color is red. It's likely your intention was filling the frame with yellow, and believe this was a yellow story. It's not. However, since it is a story of red, and red is a color, I believe it makes it on-topic, but it breaks the rule of filling the frame with your dominant color. Now, as photogs, we know that rules are meant to be broken, and when we break them we must break them in a big way, in order to have it not look like a mistake. There is no doubt that this is an image about color. Yes, it's also about standing out in a crowd, and it's about color contrast, however, the thing that stands dominant in the image is indeed the red book. My first impression was "RED book", with the word RED first, and book only as a second thought. So, this image does indeed, not only despite it's broken rule, but BECAUSE of it's broken rule, qualify. It's an excellent shot! Congrats! ~ Lonnit

A similar take to me on this theme, but entirely different execution. I like this a lot, very well done. ~ Hwulex
