I Like This One! Sometimes all the effort pays off...this is nice, (I'd say perfect, but there is no perfect with an image like this...but there are a 100 good versions in this single frame) Best Wishes, Traveller

I thank you lot for putting up with me, I guess it is my artistic side that wants to play with this image, thats the reason for all the rotation and cropping. For me it has been fun, and I appreciate all the feedback you have all given. The right way up to me is a very calming image, upside down as you say is very surreal.
Thanks again

Sorry, but I think it looked better before the crop. Preference is still for upside down version.

Hmm... the first version with land (but upside-down) is my favorite.
More surreal that way I think.
Canon DSLR Challenge18-Oct-2005 10:21
Great as is but really superb upside-down IMHO. Very surreal.

Mmm, saw this the right way up, then the wrong way, then the right way again.Wrong way up is other-worldly and hard to interpret if you haven't seen the original but is all the more striking because of that so I think that's the one I prefer.

Thanks Alex.
hi Ed. I thought it had more punch flipped over. It's back to normal now though.
Am undecided on what orientation to keep.
Richard.

Whoa. When did this get flipped over? -Ed Hahn

Chris,
Thanks. I agree it needs more contrast to make it better, fact is that is how it looked, and as I took it in jpg I did not have a lot of room to push it. I would have liked to have got lower and further back for more effect but it just was not possible. This might have looked easy but it was challenging to say the least to capture. One day when I know photoshop I may try to do more to fix it.

Richard, I think that this is a neat image, really cool reflections, and amazing how calm the water is. I think that the compostion is really nice also, although I would have changed the angle slightly so the post that ends in the middle of the ground (third from right) is slightly above the ground behind it. I think that would have added a little more depth to that side of the image.

The reason that I don't love this image is the color. I am sure that it is probably true to what you shot, but it just comes across to me as too cold, and too blue. This could probably be corrected it the sky had a bit more color or contrast. Chris

Excellent!

Thanks for the kind words.

Fantastic reflection, superb light and nice composition. The image is a tad too large and you need to add an artist's name to this if you want to avoid having this end up in the pending gallery. I'd recommend keeping the long side no bigger than 800 pixels.

Great sky and totally flat water. Nice job! -Ed Hahn
