This is an outstanding effort. The bear in the pocket is a masterstroke in the context of this challenge so far. The original was "before my time" in these challenges so I really appreciate that you (and others) have included links to the originals. Switching back and forth between the two shots I find that: a.) I love the original shot. It's great. And: b.) this shot is such a fantastic recreation of it that I'm just amazed. Although the location isn't the same, the elements are all there and the placement is perfect. And to Bry, way to go! Man, that pose is nailed dead on. I love the hair blowing in the wind. It may not have been the intent, or true to the original, but it's perfect. As with so many of the shots in this challenge, I'm awed by the skill, creativity, and genius shown in this shot. I'm not worthy!

iso, Bry has duly been kissed. She was a champion...she took this very seriously and studied your pose for ages so she'd get it right. The wind blown hair wasn't supposed to happen......she forgot the hair gel! You and I have a date at this location one day :-)

The challenge regulars were always going to know the identity from the minute the photo was uploaded. Using my daughter was a dead giveaway...her face is as familiar in the galleries as the original "Wide Boy" face. If that wasn't enough, the power station was a fairly big clue too. But the photo would not have worked without either elements. Gayle

not to be a 8itch but why promote anonymity if you are going to give your own identity up? It's a fantastic photo and will probably rank right up there in the top ten, so I really don't say this to be nasty. It's just ironic.

Well what can I possibly say to this one..... flicking between my original and this version, the thing that strikes me the most is the pose - its about as identical as I think you could hope to get. Your car and a large local industrial landmark - it all fits - there's even a metal fence! The windswept hair is a unique touch in this. Hmm, not so sure about that teddy to replace my (bulging) wallet (ahem). In fact that's a thing that's always bugged me on my original. What the hell is with all the teddy stuff anyway? I've only done one shot with a ted and the damn things are haunting me LOL. A touch of fill would have lifted those shadows from her face, lightened her eyes and let you underexpose the sky by a bit. All academic really. A black and white photo you like???? As Lonnit said, 99.9. Give Bry a big kiss from me.

Of course there's no secret as to who took this one. I had a small window of opportunity this weekend and grabbed it. Our weather alternated between driving rain and bright. harsh sunshine. We "skywatched" until we got sunshine and clouds, raced out to the power station, got a few shots and drove home in rain. So it was harsh shadows on her face or a wet camera. I would have really liked to do a better job of the exposure on her face but I had no chance! And thanks for your enthusiasm, Lonnit.

Ok, Gayle, you're only #1 b/c you met him before me. :) This is based on my favorite Isoshot - the one that first introduced me to him and it absolutely blew me away. It was such an outstanding shot. I've been wanting to do my own version of it ever since, but somehow, 2 yrs later, I've just never remembered to do it! Now, let's move on to yours. Gayle, this is simply a beautiful picture! Love the whole setup. She looks gorgeous! The flying hair is so wonderful. The body postion superb. The flowers teriffic. The stack in the back sets the place. That lens is sickly good, huh? I don't want to give any negatives b/c the image is just soooo great but if I were scoring it, I'd give a 99.9 on it, only for the fact that the nose tip is overbright. But, you see how little I'd deduct for that. Otherwise I would be calling this a flawless image, and you know how rarely I find an image flawless! I am soooooo happy for you b.c. this is an image to be soooo proud of! The BW processing is wonderful too. Ooooh, I'm just giddy looking at it!!! Iso's image is so incredible and for this to hold up right next to it... it's a helluvan accomplishment! Congratulations! ~ Lonnit
