This idea really started out as another attempted theft from one of my lifelong favorites, Rene Magritte; The Lovers II (see below), but none of the several fabrics that my wife and I tried fell over our heads like I had hoped. But in the process of looking at the test shots, it became clear that no covering was necessary – a dim bulb went off – and that all of the banned elements for this challenge; e.g., eyes, noses and mouths, were not seen.
This is beautiful! One of the most intimate shots I've ever seen. You can just FEEL the passion between these two faceless lovers. Also beautifully composed.
