I should add Jim that there were also flourescent lights on in the garage - that is what makes it look almost like motion blur - the shadows being cast by the two light sources coming from different angles. Cindy
Thanks Jim. I thought it looked really cool too - so I took time out from a wedding shoot to take a few frames. It was hard because those pesky guests kept standing in front of the light source (the setting sun). I'm sure they wondered what the heck I was doing shooting the wall. lol. Anyway - this was in a garage and the wall was covered with black specs from some spattered paint or something - so I cloned out the biggest spots, then did a dust and scratches removal in PS for the rest - added a slight cooling photo filter and that is it. Thanks, Cindy
I really like this picture. The shadows cast by the distortion of the light as it is bent by the columns of rising heat is just exquisite. Not only does this appeal to me artistically because of the great composition, but it tickles my "nerd" side too because it's such a great view of an interesting phenomenon. I'm not sure how you got this shot. Looking at it makes me wonder about the light source, etc. But it's also just a fantastic piece of art and requires no explanation.
