Bangor, Maine - June 23, 2005 - Hands busied themselves marking black Xes after the reading of each named American killed in Iraq and red Xes for only an equal number of dead Iraqis as a small bell pealed both in front of the Margaret Chase Smith Federal building and in Senator Susan Collins' office. Approximately 3,450 names were reverently read during the six-hour long event.
