An Agony of Orthopaedic Implants *

Look closely for about 5 seconds to see the implant (fixation frame) that dosen't belong.

Synthetic femur bone with 5 simulated fractures,
'pinned' together using Orthopaedic implants made from 5 different materials:
stainless steel, titanium, carbon fiber, aluminum, and wood.

(just something that I tinkered together ...)

other sizes: small medium original auto

That's amazing. I didn't notice the flashes of color until I was in the voting booth and got the "blow up". Then I had to come back to the gallery and take another look. Sure enough, an animated GIF :) Very cool. Subtle, man, subtle! I love the implication of using the tinker toys in there and the flashes to make something show up that might otherwise have been missed. What a great concept and execution.

Brilliant shot and sculpture! I hope it sits on a table in a special place! This is something to appreciate both in and out of the camera! Marvelous what you've done with those color strikes!! Guys, be sure you LOOK CLOSELY at this one!! I almost missed his "added touch." Shu
