I caught these critters outside of my work one night. They tend to collect under the lights. I thought of the title and basic idea right away when I saw a bunch of these beetles. I took them home and thought about putting them on an old Beatles album, but decided that the CD looked kind of nice.

I thought herding cats was hard. These guys were pretty uncooperative. They'd stay still for a moment after i moved them around with my finger - sort of playing dead for a short while - and then they'd start running around again. I was herding them then taking a shot, then herding them, then shooting. It was probably pretty funny to watch.

What a remarkable idea and execution. Beautiful colors, a title that delights. -Michael

Nice crowd -- did you go out and grab all the June beetles you could find? Great title too!
