Dog Daisy *

France

f/1.8 iso100 1/100sec

Not really equiped for this but thought id give it a go.
Pollen sacs, seeds etc form spirals in some flowers and
those who listened in maths or biology will know the
connection to the Fibonacci series.

other sizes: small medium original auto

RK its an interesting phenomenom the effect of time on our perception of an image. It is working the other way fror me.

Andy, Initially I didn;t like this picture, I felt it was too grainy. But, I keep coming back to it. It seems to grow on you. The center (focused part) of the left flower is really sharp and has an almost 3D effect (unless my eyes are playing tricks on me). Great job.

I have loked closely at the spirals and found they dont in fact follow a fibonacci sequence, being 21 and 25 spirals in opposite directions. This is i suppose interesting in itself. For those who want to know what im on about here is a very good reference.

I like the whole feel of this - one in focus, one out. The grain really works. ~ Lonnit
