Alternating Bands of Green *

This is a detail, probably a 50% crop of a flowing Hot Spring, (the water exits the ground at 147 Degrees F.) at Hot Springs, AK. What was interesting was that this water was too hot to touch or leave your hand in, but the various shades of Algae flourished despite the heat.

I thought of cropping this even tigher, as I did the butterfly and crocodile, but I like it best with a little water falling also.

Beautiful shades of greens and yellows. Cropping it tighter would help to concentrate on the pattern formed by the algae but IMO the present crop makes the better presentation. Thanks for the interesting information about the heat resistance of the algae. Very well done, Traveller.

I love the colors on this, Traveller!! I'm glad you didn't crop it down any further. - Jeannie Burleson (jburly)

Thank you, Ms. Shy, any compliment from you means a lot and I appreciate it, (this also gives me the opportunity to discretely note that you are a Mrs.). I wanted to also congratulate you for your deserved win in Challenge 41. I voted for your Boots, but not Spinning Lights though I loved it. I just couldn't give you all my votes...lol

Best Wishes,
Traveller
