I rather like it. I think it is a well-composed portrait of a beautiful young woman, who just happens to be sporting an alternative hairstyle and alternative makeup. The red above the eyes seems to mirror the lipstick. --Melanie (mlynn)

Iso, Sickly breathless was an incredible shot. It was also technical perfection and I totally understood what you were going for. With this one and the other I'm lost. I"m not understanding what you were going for so I'm just interpreting it as amateurish which is crazy b/c you're one of my idols. I know you've got to have an agle, a reason, a story. Would you care to explain it to someone's whose head it is obviously over? :) Maybe it's a cultural reference that I don't get on this side of the pond? ~ Lonnit

Bleau, I've always wanted to fly to Paris for lunch! Restaurant looks great!

Lonnit. After your comments, it kind of made up my mind to post the other one in eligible :) Sometimes things just have to be done. A bit like the sickly breathless shot that I entered a few challenges back.

Eric. A confirmed pommie here. Though I haven't got a clue what you're on about :)

I'm rather partial to Paris (France)
Lunch at the Pomidou Center would be nice.

Funny Bleau. I think group tea would be a great idea... but which continent shall we meet on? LOL!

Funny thing Iso, but after looking at the one in the other gallery, this somehow seems so much less harsh. But of course my comments don't! LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit

Gee okay maybe it isn't your best but I think we have all put pics in to get a reaction at some time or other................i usually take them out if I grow to hate them.

It is true Lonnit how you do build up impressions of people from the little snippets of their life that you see.
For instance I always thought iso3200 was an American now I realise he may be a bl**dy pommie.
I thought he worked in cyberspace but now I can see he is taking a new direction, jumping on his Harley and heading up the road to the darker side of life.
May the force be with you !
Also I think we should all go and have one of those iced teas that bring out the real you.
You may have not seen the ads overseas but it goes something like this.
Mechanic and customer looking at leaky radiator drinking iced tea.
Customer:" I know nothing about cars"
Mechanic: "That's alright I will send you out of here with four tyres you don't need."
Customer: "That's okay I will write you a cheque that bounces"

I"m just not getting it at all. It feels.... nothing. It seems slapped together. I was shocked to discover this was an Iso. Actually it thrills me to see that the Great Master can bomb too! :D BTW, I feel just awful writing this too. It kind of feels like when you meet your hero and after all you've built him up to be, the bubble is burst when you find out in person you don't like him. Isn't that weird to get that from this image? Maybe you were so impressed with the lens that you didn't notice the quality of the shot itself? The hair is sloppy, the eyebrows are messy, the lip hair is horrible, the makeup is amateur. Was all that intentional? I know you like to get experimental with things like that. If that was your intent - and I believe it must have been because YOU do NOT make mistakes like that! - then you succeeded 100% as usual! :) ~ Lonnit

They ARE dreadlocks :)
Canon DSLR Challenge29-Apr-2005 07:58
Not so sure about this one iso. A couple of things in the shot niggle me like the funny reflection in the white of her left eye, the light on her hair makes it look like dreadlocks and the hair over her lip needs to be removed in PS. The red make up is not well enough applied IMHO either. I know you can do better.

I knew, I just KNEW this was yours when I saw the thumb. Brilliant composition. Super sharp where it counts. That's a wicked make up job!
