On Monday, 2/21, it was snowing in New York and my wife & I were feeling creative.
So, rather than go to the Bronx Zoo to take even more pictures of the tigers, the snow leopard & red panda (they are great subjects, by the way) we opted for the Valentine's Day flowers instead. Hey, they aren't totally wilted so we figured they needed some sort of homage (so should the florist...he sold me a good batch & I have to back there when birthday time rolls around).
We used the 2 emergency flashlights (the batteries were actually working) we keep in the closet for extra illumination for the 550EX, a pane of dirty, soaped up glass for the backgound and a piece of aluminum foil to focus the lights. They came out pretty good; there's a very light, airy feeling to the whole thing that I kind of like.
So, for your viewing pleasure, I sumbit to you 'Flowers & Flashlights'. I think the people who make 'Mag Lights' would be proud.
