You Put Your Right Foot In...***

Fresno, California

Ok...So not quite negative space, but I like this Photo quite a bit and think it is amusing, and has a little negative space -- the question is, does this count as negative space, and if so, is it effective? Hopefully sometime this weekend I can go through som old shots and perhaps go out and shoot some new ones for the elegible gallery.

Any comments would be great!

Sharpened up...still little negative space. Is it too sharp now?

Yeah.....the neagtive space factor is obviously questionable, but I must argue that the space in the abckground only adds to highlight the detail...and this balance of "negative" and positive (detailed space), forms the balance of the picture. I don't have too many negative space shots in digital yet, and am more of a spontaneous shooter (like this shot which just happened to unfold infront of my eyes as I was taking a fresh air break).

As far as the ***, well, the * key stuck down and added the stars initially and I figured whatever, I'll leave it up there as I do appreciate comments of all types....especially criticism (be not afraid to rip me to shreds) as I'm a hobyist who's trying to learn more and more...and would like to take better shots than I do...It is great to see how others think and read photos...since it helps me think about details before shooting...

Thanks all for the comments,
:-D (Dave Willis....it seems there are too many Dave W.'s)!!!

I don't know about the negative space factor, but the shot happens to be very nice. Just needs some serious sharpening. ~ Lonnit

Very nice image. I especialy like the B&W tones (a color filter? yellow? red?). Maybe thre isn't much negative space but I like it!
BTW: *** means you'd really like some comments, am I right? Funny idea ;)
