Never tried anything like this before but got inspired. It's just set on my kitchen windowsill and shot from lowdown to get the white sky background.

Nice. Backlighting, strong detail, and somewhat muted colors make this a gem. Considering you had never tried something of this ilk, very successful image. Again, nice.

Have to agree about the frame - I don't think it adds anything, and could well be a distraction (but I rarely like frames). Phil

Thanks for the feedback - I wasn't sure about the frame on this one and could easily just use the unframed version, or a different style?????

I think it's a lovely image, but I can't focus on it long enough without distraction - my eye is being drawn directly to the drop shadow border b/c of it's contrast and because of the angled leading line the flowers create that drives one right to it. ~ Lonnit

Thanks Michael - high praise! You may be right about a blue background but I only had a windowsill to do this on so my options were a little limited. I quite fancy having another go know though......

Wonderfully backlighted! Not overly so that the foreground details are lost, so good job! I'm wondering if the background is blue, would that be better as it's complimentary to yellow. - MS
