I'm very uncomfortable looking at the shot. I feel claustrophobic being so close to the wall and being forced to look at it as opposed to being able to look directly into the big open space. It seems to me to be one of those dingey old NYC apt buildings with the narrow hallways and the high ceilings and the wretched, dim, dying flourescent lights! Put all that yuckyness together and you have art! LOL! Not art that I'd want hanging on my wall because it's terrible Chi, but rather the art you find in a gallery, the artist starving and off beat as the stereotype goes. It's a well composed, technically good shot, evoking emotion. Isn't that art? Who buys these things anyway? Oh, silly me, nobody does - that's why the artists are starving! LOL! This certainly shows talent and creativity. Excellent job, even though it's not my personal taste. I think that's why it's not getting comments - it's a haunting shot that doesn't make one feel good. It's disturbing, not warm and fuzzy, so maybe people just look and can't wait to get away because they don't like the vibes they get from it. Again, I say that kind of work is brilliant, but I don't want it near me either! LOL! ~ Lonnit
I think this shot's OK - I'm surprised nobody else hasn't commented yet. It's a bit, ahem, arty I guess. The black and white works well. You have to look hard to see the figure. Can't make my mind up if that is the picture's strength or weakness though :-)
