Portrait of a frog*

Had to participate. Very limited time. Took what I had at hand:
My son's green rubber frog against the bright red metal-siding of the building across the street.
Shot in the window sill, window open, natural light only (overcast and grey day). Didn't take too long...

Canon EOS 10D ,Tamron SP AF 24-135mm f/3.5-5.6
1/125s f/5.6 at 135.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Wow, thanks Angela and Roberta! I realized I had shot this in AdobeRGB and assigned sRGB as I opened it in photoshop. Therefore I did the postprocessing over again, and now the colors are more true to life. When I updated the image you had both commented in the meantime. Thanks for your comments! Roberta, I will experiment with your shadow idea if I find the time. --Olaf

Olaf,
I like the lighting on the frog, the red background, and the placement of the frog.
(*)Shadows underneath and to the right of the frog would add dimension and help ground the frog/create more of a setting. Roberta

Well done! Love the soft light on the frog, and great contrasting color use! -- angela :)
