The contrasing colors really do it for this one!! After seeing this I am going to have to try it out.

Beautiful shot, have been meaning to try this out for a while now but never got around to it. Love the blue and red in this one.................. Vikas

Thats a great shot Peter. The water droplets acting like lenses is another technique I've been meaning to try too. Your shot works very well. For me it would work even better if the coke can in the background was more out of focus. Would the shot still work if you moved the glass further away from the can?

I never thought I'd say it about a Coke can but that is fabulous. Great choice of colour too, the blue id beautiful. Brilliant job. Phil

Thanks Ed, The concept isn't new as ad agencies have been using it for years in one form or another, just the content and execution may differ somewhat. Basiclly, I started by laying a satin bedsheet on the floor, found a piece of perfectly clean and unmarked piece of glass (2'x 2' x 1/4"), wiped over using rain-x to displace the water later on. Suspended the glass about 12" over the bedsheet on 2 sides using a couple milk crates. Then, made a series of droplets on the surface of the glass (6 to 8 drops in each pool) and then placed the can under the glass and fired away. I really needed a decent macro lens for this setup therefore totally losing the can in the bokeh. Thats really all there is to it. Thanks for asking.
