I probably would have brightened the image so that the sunbeam was nearer white without losing its color. BTW, unlike most people I love this kind of weather. -- Victor

Right. They are pylons for high-tension power cables. If you look closely, you can see the cables. Thanks for your comments. --Garrett

Christmas in (Nor)Cali! Side note: They aren't mobile towers. Perhaps if they were, mobile phones would actually work reliably in california. :)

This is really beautiful Garrett. I love the monocolor feel that really emphasizes the shaft of light from the clouds. Good one. Ann C

Nice shot Garrett, Everytime I try to capture one of these light slides they never look like what I saw. You did a excellent job duplicating the mood. Bummer to see a cell phone tower on every hill though. Regards, Aric
