*She Got Lost*
Joe Reilly

Likely to come across as off-topic, but one I could not resist posting. My daughter wandered off the playground this weekend, initially proud of her independence, but eventually terrified. Under the gaze of my 10D/300mm lens the whole time, this was her look the moment she returned from the wild and saw a recognizable face.

I love the little girl's expression. A beautiful portrait.

If I didn't know the history, I would have called this a 'far away' or dreamy look. Great shot. -johnebones

Gorgeous portrait. The DOF, pose, and B&W are superb. This one needs to be up on the wall.

A single character in the frame. That in my book puts the pic on topic. Wonderful portrait. The 300mm has focused spot on where it should be - the eyes. Normally a stray hair over them is seen as a *mistake*, but on this it's real cute the way both eyes have a wisp over them. I can't imagine this being better in colour. Bet you've got loads of pics of her :-)

It's a great portrait, but doesn't quite say "Lost" to me - had her pupils been wider I think it would have conveyed the feeling more.

This is a great photo!! The look on her face and the wild hair really make this photo stand out.

Joe, I don't think this is off topic at all. Even though you were there she did not know it and was very much alone while wandering and then together when she saw you. This is a wonderful portrait. Ann C
